Born and raised in the hills of NorthWest Georgia, Blakely's love for fishing started at a young age chasing bass and crappie. It wasn't until his time attending college at Kennesaw State University that he tried and became obsessed with fly fishing. After graduating, he moved out to Idaho to pursue a career following his passion for trout fishing. Aside from guiding trips and sharing his fishing knowledge, he also loves to hunt elk and deer and spend time exploring the great outdoors. He now spends his winters guiding saltwater trips across the world in the Maldives, but is always excited to get back to his home and his family at TroutHunter. A trip with Blakely is sure to bring lots of laughs and some great memories.
