Travis got started fly fishing on a family vacation to Yellowstone National Park when he was 16 years old. He has feverishly chased fish with a fly rod since then. Fly fishing has taken him all across the country chasing various species of fresh and saltwater fish but his passion is definitely for western trout fishing. This pushed him to guiding for Bud Lilly’s Trout Shop. Here he began to learn the Henry’s Fork and Madison rivers as well as the waters of Yellowstone. He is a patient and enthusiastic guide on the water who loves sharing his passion with clients. In the off-season Travis is an elementary school teacher in Texas. This job dovetails his patience and enthusiasm for the success of others perfectly into his guiding of fly fishermen.
