Whether by drift boat, raft, horse, or foot, Phil has been guiding in Idaho and Montana for the better part of two decades. His guiding ethic is fueled by a passion for the outdoors and the desire to share these wild places and the fishing with others. Phil will treat you right with fishing tactics, anecdotes, and a historical knowledge that will help you better understand the fish, flies, and environment around you. It’s impossible not to appreciate the magnificent waters and landscapes of the greater Yellowstone area during a day with him. During the off-season, Phil lives in Bozeman, Montana, and when not fishin’ or hangin' with his son Miles and new wife Katie, Phil puts food on the table as a long time Bridger Bowl ski patroller and keeps the wheels turning on his property management company in the Gallatin Valley.
