Zach Wheeler

I was born and raised in southeastern Idaho and have lived on the Henry's Fork my whole life. I started fishing as quickly as I could walk and have been fly fishing since I was nine years old. Since then I have been fascinated with trout and water.

I began tying flies at twelve years of age, and caught my first fish on a fly I tied shortly thereafter. I have been fortunate to spend my entire life fishing alongside my grandfather, Rene' Harrop. He has taught me many valuable lessons when it comes to reading the water, the flies to use, and the importance of patience.

During the off season I continue to fish and hunt as well. I also tie flies commercially and for personal use.
