i started fishing when I could handle a rod although for whatever reason i threw a few dozen over the side of the boat thinking it was hilarious.. started fly fishing when i was eight mainly for smallmouth and largemouth bass. caught my first fish on a fly i tied when i was 10. first trout when i was 12, all downhill from there. been tying and fishing ever since although i only tie what i cant buy because id rather be on the water than at the vice..rather be on the water than anywhere else really. done a lot of salt, been to alaska, new zealand, canada..think ive caught every type of game fish that swims other than a permit and a tarpon although ive hooked both and both took me to the cleaners. i would rather be outside than anywhere, could never live in a city or i'd go crazy, and fell in love with island park the first day i got there.

line- the one thats on the reel thats on the rod that isn't broken but preferrably a ridgeline
books- bush pilot angler by lee wulff and old man and the sea by e. hemmingway
muscians- hotcake, johnny c. and ryan l. when they're jammin late night at the ranch
movie- anything with brad pitt because he's sooo dreamy
