Pat Gaffney

Patrick Gaffney was born and raised in Connecticut. Pat came to TroutHunter after “seeing the light” and leaving a career as a corporate law attorney. Pat is passionate about all things fly fishing, and has been tying and casting flies in fresh and saltwater since the age of ten. He grew up fishing flies for stripers, bluefish and false albacore in Long Island Sound, and has chased Great Lakes salmon, steelhead, and migratory brown trout for the past 20 years. He made his first trip to the blue ribbon waters of the greater Yellowstone area at age 17, and has returned each year for the past 14 years. Pat’s energy and enthusiasm for the sport is contagious, and a day on the water with Pat is a learning experience filled with streamside entomology lessons, innovative fly patterns and fishing techniques, and plenty of laughs.
