Fly Shop
TroutHunter is located on the Henry's Fork of the Snake River in Last Chance, Idaho. Last Chance is the business center of Island Park, a small community encircled by a caldera rim that abuts the western boundary of Yellowstone National Park. We are a complete fly fishing outfitter, offering a variety of tackle and gear that we have personally tested and can recommend with confidence. Although we are well stocked with the typical fly shop offerings, we are particularly proud to offer exquisite limited production tackle. Such items as cane rods by Bernard Ramanavskas , Sweetgrass, Robert Bolt, Tom Morgan and Wayne Maca; graphite and glass rods from Kerry Burkheimer, Tom Morgan, Sweetgras and Mark Steffen; and flies tied by the Harrop family will appeal to anglers who are committed to finding the finest tools with which to apply their trade. Our art gallery features the work of René Harrop, C.D. Clarke, Derek DeYoung and Mark Smith.
Our fly selection is as varied and compelling as the waters we fish. With over 1300 patterns and sizes to choose from, you will be able to address any hatch or situation you may encounter while fishing the Greater Yellowstone area. Additionally, we have a comprehensive and unique selection of fly tying materials. TroutHunter functions as headquarters for House of Harrop during the fishing season. We are pleased to make accessible to the angling public the remarkable flies & tying materials the Harrop Family offers.
When you walk into our shop you can expect to be greeted by friendly faces. Whether you are new to the sport of fly fishing or an expert fisherman, you will receive honest, practical advice from accomplished area anglers. We live and breathe fly fishing and look forward to sharing our enthusiasm for our home waters with you.
